Elevare Awarded WEConnect International Certification

We are delighted to announce that Elevare has been awarded the Certified Women’s Business Enterprise credential by WEConnect International

WEConnect International, is a global network that connects women-owned businesses, enabling them to compete and succeed in the global marketplace.

Speaking on the certification, Anita O’Donovan, Chief Financial Officer at Elevare, said: “We couldn’t be prouder to be a part of the WEConnect International network. Their great work – advocating for gender equality at ownership and senior management level, has never been so important.

We look forward to broadening our network with like-minded contacts, who’s values align with our own – creating a more diverse, inclusive, and sustainable organisation.”

The benefits of WEConnect International Certification include:

  • WEConnect International members are large organisations committed to global supplier diversity and inclusion that help build sustainable communities by sourcing from women-owned businesses around the globe.
  • One-third of all privately owned businesses in the world are owned by women, yet women-owned businesses earn less than 1% of large corporate and government spend with suppliers.
  • Being part of the WEConnect International Network means supporting supplier diversity at a global level. Breaking down the barriers that are currently in place to new opportunities, markets and capital is essential for the survival of women-owned businesses.
  • The gender pay gap in Ireland is currently at 14.4%, which is slightly ahead over the OECD average of 16%. As a member of WEConnect International we can promote full economic gender parity – which would contribute significantly to the country’s GDP.

At Elevare we are always looking for better ways to do business. And we do this by putting #people first – it’s at the core of our organisation. Find out more about our services or get in touch today.
